• National Diploma (ND)
• Pre-Higher National Diploma (PRE-HND)
• Higher National Diploma (HND)

National Diploma

National Diploma in Health Information Management is a program designed to provide candidates with the knowledge or skill, to assist in planning collating, organizing disseminating, monitoring and managing vital health information required at the local, state and federal levels to ensure effective and comprehensive national health care delivery. The duration of the National Diploma program shall be two academic sessions of four semesters including supervised clinical work experience.

Entry Requirements:

Five Credits including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physic or Chemistry and any other 1 subject in not more than 2 sittings.

Pre-Higher National Diploma

The Pre-Higher National Diploma Programme in Health Information Management is a Programme designed to provide candidates with Health Records Technician Certificates, or (HIT Certificate) with prerequisites to undergo a Higher National Diploma (HND) Programme in Health Information Management. The duration of the Pre-Higher National Diploma program shall be one academic session.

Entry Requirements:

1. Five Credits including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physic or Chemistry and any other 1 subject in not more than 2 sittings.
   ii. Health Records Technician Certificate with a minimum of Lower Credit.

Higher National Diploma

Higher National Diploma in Health Information Management is a program designed to provide candidates with the knowledge and skills to assist in planning, collating, organizing, disseminating, monitoring, and managing vital Health Information required at the Local, State and Federal levels to ensure effective and comprehensive National Health Care Delivery. The duration of the Higher National Diploma program shall be two academic sessions of four semesters including supervised clinical work experience.

Entry Requirements:

• Five Credits including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physic or Chemistry and any other 1 subject in not more than 1 sitting.
• National Diploma Certificates in Health Information Management with a minimum of Lower Credit.
• Evidence of compulsory Industrial Training (IT) or attachment in a reputable Health Institution.

Admission into the School

Application into all Courses of study is made through the School Approved Application Form and or through Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for both the National Diploma and the Higher National Diploma Programme of the school. Candidates are expected to sit for the selection examination on a specific date announced by the School Authority. Successful candidates are thus communicated on their success and admission after fulfilling the basic entry requirements.

5. From the list of currently open programmes, choose by Clicking APPLY on the right end
6. Click APPLY
7. A transaction page will be displayed; Click GENERATE RRR at the bottom left of the page
8. A Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) number will be generated on the page
9. NOTE: paying online activates your account immediately.
   (I) To pay online (Master/Visa/Internet Banking) CLICK on PayViaREMITA and follow the online guide. (After paying just refresh your page and continue from step-12)
   (II) To pay through a Bank Branch, print your Transaction-slip or copy the RRR Number and proceed to any Commercial bank of your choice (Make sure the RRR Number appears on the slip before printing and going to the bank)
10. After payment come back to the portal http://apply.abuth.gov.ng
11. Click on LOGIN and enter the LOGIN ID and PASSWORD you created at step-3
12. Fill in all your details (Biodata, contact, Next of kin, Qualifications & passport Photo)
13. Click on MY FORMS from your profile menu and select SUBMIT APPLICATION on the right
14. Make sure you agree with terms and conditions by checking the box at the bottom of your submit-form details, then Finally Submit
