These scholarships are either tuition fee waivers, fully funded, or partially funded. Tuition fee scholarships waive off the whole fees, partially funded scholarships provide tuition fee discounts, and fully funded scholarships cover tuition fees, travel allowance, and living expenses.

The Australian Government has invested more than A$300 million to provide scholarships for international students. The scholarships are available in the majority of top-ranking Australian Universities.

Australian National University officially announced the upcoming class scholarships. It is considered to be one of the top institutions around the globe. Australian Research Council Scholarships are open at Australian National University from 2022-2023. Australian Research Council Scholarship at Australian National University is now available for students if they have the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours (or equivalent) or a Master’s degree (with a significant research component) in Physical Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or equivalent.

Australian National University was founded in 1929 and was integrated into ANU in 1960. ANU enrols 10,052 undergraduate and 10,840 postgraduate students and employs 3,753 staff. The university’s endowment stood at A$1.8 billion as of 2018. It currently functions in Canberra, Australia.

The Australian National University acceptance rate is 35% and is strongly competitive. To be qualified for admission International students must have a minimum GPA of 5.0, a minimum of 6.5 in IELTS, and work experience of at least 3 to 5 years in case required to secure the seat

Scholarship Benefits:

Stipend: $28092 pa (2020 rate) for up to 3.5 years, plus benefits (as outlined in the Conditions of Award).

Eligibility Criteria for Australian Research Council Scholarships:

  • Domestic and international candidates are eligible.
  • Candidates must have the equivalent of an Australian Bachelor’s degree with First Class Honours (or equivalent) or a Master’s degree (with a significant research component) in Physical Chemistry, Physics, Engineering or equivalent. 
  • You must be able to demonstrate the capacity to undertake independent research.
  • Candidates must meet ANU English language requirements.
